This is my first lab work since Defy added HCG and a couple supplements to my treatment. It took a couple times to get my doctor to get a good test. First round Estradol, Free LC/MS/MS wasn't ordered, second go around the RBC burst and the test failed and I finally got results today.

Looking at the estrogen test Defy may recommend putting me on something to lower this number. I currently take 500UI and Test E .33ml of 200mg twice a week.

On my first consult Defy added DHEA, CoQ10 and D3 daily. You'll see the DHEA and Free Test Calc numbers have improved.

I also started donating whole blood to reduce RBC. I was surprised it was back over the max range in such a short time. Guess it doesn't take long and I'll be a regular.

Once I get Defy to say they received my lab work they will schedule my followup. Curious to hear what the recommend.

I got bored and put what lab results I've collected over time and created this. You'll see that my previous doctors had no idea what they were testing for by the lack of standard testing.

Overall I feel pretty good. My concern is my libido has declined over the past few weeks. Could just be a temporary thing. When I started the HCG in October it kicked it up a notch or two and I was thinking that was great, I"m liking this a lot.

Nothing has changed in the past few weeks so not sure why the decline. Maybe Defy will have an idea.

Overall I don't think my numbers look bad.

I agree with you, they look pretty good. Your estradiol may account for the libido issues - what about your prolactin level?

Your labs do look pretty good, I'll be interested in finding if an AI is needed. Your HDL is low, I wonder what they will recommend for increasing your level. How much DHEA, CoQ10 and D3 are you using.

Hey Vince, I'm curious to see what Defy does as well. Not knowing a lot about how to manage this I was thinking (guessing) of two possible options; start an AI or reduce the HCG to a lower dose (currently 500 IU bi-weekly).

I need to get my butt in a gym to help correct my HDL.

Here are the daily supplement doses they put me on:
CoQ10 200 mg
DHEA 50 mg
Vitamin D3 5000 iu

My primary physician also has me on a daily cholesterol, blood pressure and an aspirin. Defy has me cut the statin in half so now I'm only getting 10mg.

I was glad to see these changes;
DHEA: 83 increased to 308
Free Test (Calc): 76 increased to 168
Test Bioavailable: 179 increased to 395

After two years of trying different doctors to get on track I am sold on Defy. In fact I've talked my wife into getting her labs done as well so see if she will feel better too.

Hi stevep, there are indeed several options for E2 management which can be discussed upon follow-up. OTC supplements you may try before your consult if you wish (to see if you feel any different subjectively) include DIM 100-200mg daily and calcium D-glucarate 500mg twice daily. For lipids and particularly HDL, you are correct that the gym would help, especially some good cardio training. Healthy fats in the diet and a possible omega 3 supplement (fish oil) can help as well. These are a few just to start. Hope all is well and have a great weekend!

Thanks Dr. Saya. I'll see if I can pick up the DIM and calcium D-glucarate today and try it until I talk with your staff on the 17th. We'll see where it goes from there.

Think back with your issues and if your DHEA addition perhaps correlates in some way. A good number of us just don't tolerate DHEA, makes us feel bad in a number of ways and most likely due that it easily aromatizes in some guys. DHEA is necessary but it seems more and more like it's supplementation has more to do with a number on a test as contrasted to an actual benefit to it's use. 50mg is also not a lot, but you may tolerate it better at 25mg, or even less than that.
