Fertility: Sperm count up after adding HCG to TRT

Long story short i was on TRT for a few months without HCG and after doing a sperm analysis results came up as ZERO count (before TRT my sperm count was normal and i had a child). Since then i changed doctors and I am using 400ui HCG 2x a week. After 9 weeks i did the sperm analysis again and the results are below:

sperm count 2.1mm (normal >=20mm)
total sperm 7.2mm (normal >=40mm)

it has been only 9 weeks. So these numbers should improve with time? Or after 9 weeks i should have seen better results than this?

Who told you to use that low monotherapy dose?

You are better off with 100-200 mg/week testosterone plus 500 IU HCG every other day. That protocol worked in a study here in Houston at Baylor.

This study showed that 250IU everyother day was effective as well no? Total weekly dose would be very similiar (250IU eod vs 400IU 2x week). Maybe not enough time to see satisfactory results? Or interval too long? Also there is the fact that i supressed my fertility for a few months before starting HCG
 
One thing I noticed is that on the 3rd day my testicles are no longer fuller like during the first/second day after injecting HCG so probably 3.5 days is too long for optimal/constant leydig cells estimulation in my case. I will keep posting my future sperm analysis/protocol changes here. I have read many forums but couldnt find one showing detailed information about regaining fertility by adding HCG to TRT protocol (after becoming infertile due to TRT)

It wasnt clear in my original post but my current protocol is 70mg testosterone cypionate 2x a week + 400IU HCG 2x a week

Healthman- have you had any recent test done? I am looking into going back onto trt while remaining on hcg (finishing up a restart but may still be shutdown)

Hey Bilkwatts, i will have another sperm analysis done in 1-2 mths. I will make sure i post the results here!

I am so glad to chance upon your thread!

Had been on TRT for 3 years (2 X 100mg test cyp. weekly) and am starting to plan for a family.

The doctor I engaged insisted that I go off TRT (she said TRT prevents the restart of sperm production) and be on HCG alone.

Having done research for the past 2 weeks, I am confident that TRT + HCG will restart my sperm production (tested twice with ZERO counts); so I will need to seek another doctor who is willing to help me.

Is your success case rare? Do we all need to go through what Billwatts did (off TRT for a restart)?

Now I need to find myself a doctor who is willing to prescribe both to me. (based in Singapore which is really strict!)

Can't imagine having to go off TRT for 6 - 9mths should the medical system here fail me.

My next fertility test is schedule for next week. I will probably have the results in 2 weeks from now. I went from zero to a few millions in less than 3 months after adding 400 IU 2x a week. Since then i have changed to 300 IU 3x a week. I will post my sperm count here after i get the results.

I don't know much about Singapore, I wonder if you could buy HCG on your own. If it's legal, it might be worth looking into.

However, your dosage of 2 X 400 IU & 3 X 300IU seem to be lower than recommended; however, as long as it works right?

I am not looking to have a child now and i had estradiol issues so we are trying a lower dosage to keep things going.

Unfortunately, HCG is highly controlled, really expensive and only via medical specialists in Singapore.

Looks like I will need to adhere to their advice and do with the TRT.
 
Bad news. Despite moving from 400 IU 2x a week to 300 IU 3x a week my sperm count came back at ZERO.
So i went from ZERO sperm count while on testosterone cream and NO HCG to 7.14 million sperm count while on testosterone cypionate (70mg 2x a week) and HCG (400 IU 2x a week) and finally back to ZERO sperm count while on testosterone cypionate (60mg 2x a week) and HCG (300 IU 3x a week)
