Dr. Prescribed dose. 2 years now on 300mg. Week. Taken Monday and Thursday. No AI, estrodial 82.
55year old male. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Well, 300 milligrams of testosterone per week in divided doses...an estradiol reading of 82...can you explain how you reached this point? Why are you and your doctor managing such a protocol?

Where does your SHBG sit?

Was the estradiol test you ran the sensitive, LC, MS/MS, the only one men can rely on?

How long have you been injecting such a whopping dose of testosterone?

No hcg?

Has an AI ever been part of your regimen?

It’s an erectile issue, libido is unimpeded?

We need more information, we need to know your Total T, Free T, SHBG at the very least. SHBG is an important piece of the puzzle and dictates TRT protocols. A 300mg weekly dosage is pretty high and too much for most men.

An example, my SHBG is on the lower end and I need injections every 2 days, or estrogen is very high and see little benefit from TRT.

Erection quality is closely tied to estrogen levels.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
