DHEA delivery method... Still searching

I've been off trt since May, and have been trying to bring my low DHEA levels up.
I have tried 3 different brand otc orals, and troches from a compounded pharmacy.
They all raise my e2 after a few days.
The only one that did anything positive is ultra micronized 25mg tablet that I cut into quarters. I take 1 (or roughly 6mg) in the morning. I feel very good from this for 2-3 days ( mood and wood ) but then the high e2 symptoms kick in.
The only method I haven't tried is the cream.
Is there any advantage to the compounded vs otc like Life Flo ?

By all means try a cream, a compounded cream is much better than that stuff from...LEF? that leaves heavily moisturized feeling with a big blob of goop. But consider this...like you I felt like I was always having an E problem (verified testing) and I cut down, changed delivery methods, and dosing...I eventually reevaluated my commitment to DHEA that seemed to always cause me problems. I dropped it entirely and I'm just fine without it. Something to think about...do you really need it if its just causing you problems?

I tested low in separate labs a year apart. I'm just trying to get into range. I do love the way it makes me feel the first couple days. That's all I get from it.

Vince, I've read about your trials with DHEA. Did you have one method that worked better than the rest?

I gave up on it, it's a number on a test and for all the trouble...I never felt anything from it. To be fair it wasn't the source of my Estrogen problem but none the less, I eliminated it and don't have a reason to go back to it for the foreseeable future. The compounded cream for ease of use was great, the compounded micronized capsules were also pretty good for ease of use. I was able to get my levels up pretty easily but as I said, now that I'm not using it...I feel no different at all.

OP, yes, it's the nature of DHEA to convert downstream to E2. For some it's more troublesome than others.

Even my E2 tends to elevate with it, and I never have any E2 issues with my regular TRT regiment. IMO, a little Arimidex can keep this in check, and of course you still get the benefits of DHEA. A "little" for me is meaning like .25mg x1 or x2 per week at most. I would encourage you to talk with your physician.

I take 25mg of Divinci Labs micronized approx. 2 hours before I go to bed. Unreal what it has done to balance out my adrenals at night, which has improved my sleep 2 fold!

I did take a tiny piece ( .125mg ) Anastrozole yesterday to see if it helps. I'm not on trt now, just DHEA so maybe a dose that small won't have any negative sides.
