Defy Patients, salivary cortisol testing???

Had my bloods drawn today, Dr Saya also ordered 4 sample salivary cortisol. Got the kit and need to spit on the sticks.

The enclosed directions say to not take any steroids 24 hrs prior to the test. I am on TRT, What the heck? Do I stop?

Next, does it matter whether I start at midnight and finish at 4pm or start at 8 am and finish at midnight?

(Note: reason I am asking here, I called Defy and did not have the opportunity to speak to medical staff, not sure I'll get a response soon enough to get this done and submit samples. I'll be traveling.)

Thanks

Has to be done at the specified intervals or it's useless, I think it's upon waking then noon, 6pm, and midnite but I'm sure you'll get a multitude of opinions.

Maybe misinterpreting the question? The specified intervals are a given, but it does not specify when to start/ stop.

And the labels provided do not seem in order. Top down they go 4pm-Noon-8:00am-12midnight. Bottom up, starts at 12midnight. Just confusing.
