Decisions to make TRT or NOT

Hello I’m new to the group my name is Curtis
I’m 40 years old 5 10”. I did my labs and my GP said that my free T looks good and I don’t need TRT. I also talked with Defy medical and they said I could possibly benefit from T depending on how I feel. Well I used to be on TRT 3 years ago but i stopped because I have palpitations and racing heart beat and anxiety it happened when I introduced HCG.. I got scared and quit completely. I actually should of just stopped the HCG because I’m certain that is what caused most of the issue and my estrogen went up.. since stop I have a bit of ED… and I don’t initiate sex my wife says.. I’m tired by 8 or 9pm… muscle aches all the time… my dr says well that’s usually what comes with getting older… I’m thinking of trying TRT cream.. my question is if I try that for like 6 months and don’t really feel better can I quit again? And just return to baseline or do these numbers look decent enough and I shouldn’t be looking to get into the trt journey.. ? I know it takes a lot to optimize your body… my older brother is on TRT and he is 50 and still experiencing tired symptoms at times and is sore a lot but he is also way more active then me and I think the TRT has slowed him to be more active like that

You’ll hear this a lot, levels look good without much thought beyond the actual values. Symptoms are often ignored which is part of the dual differential diagnosis. In range is normal, we’re all robots operating in the same range, we’re all the same.

No thought of gene CAG repeats numbers short/long (sensitivity, or insensitivity at the androgen receptor), target tissue sensitivity and individual response to androgens.

There’s hundreds of other medical conditions that overlap with the symptoms of low testosterone, the symptoms are non-specific which makes a low testosterone diagnosed difficult. The doctor must convince the insurance company that there’s a problem with a lack of testosterone and that’s not always easy.

Thank God for these private cash only clinics.

I think there's nothing wrong with trying TRT again, without HCG. There's lots of members who can't tolerate HCG. I'm just the opposite. I love the feeling of HCG, I inject 500 IU every third day.
