Can we be sued if you post copyrighted materials?

I just want to make sure that everyone understands that this site can be sued if any of you upload copyrighted materials. Two companies have tried to do so with me after members uploaded copyrighted pictures.
Please put content in quotation marks and do not paste more than 2-3 paragraphs. Also, always link to the source article.
