Can’t get HCG in Canada

Hello all,

I had been on hcg monotherapy for a while and I can no longer get a hold of any at any standard Canadian pharmacy. I understand from my pharmacist that there is a shortage however she was unable to provide any timeline regarding when this will be resolved. Does anyone have any information about this? I did a search and found a couple of posts about regulatory issues that had come up but it doesn’t appear the US is experiencing the same shortage.

Depends on where you look as there are legitimate online sources that still have Pregnyl in stock.

Supply/demand issue for Pregnyl which is manufactured by Merck.

Should be more readily available come early December.

You can also look into the generic brand manufactured by Fresenius Kabi Canada Ltd.

If you have a prescription and $$$ is no issue.

Thanks madman. I have never bought from an online pharmacy before. I have health insurance that covers hcg. I’m not sure if they will reimburse drugs purchased through and online pharmacy but I will look into it.

Side note - I had labs done about 10 days after stopping the hcg and my total and free test is at near zero. It’s typically been at the bottom end of normal range in the past without treatment but nowhere near this low. Is that to be expected when stopping cold turkey or could there be a greater issue going on? I’m definitely feeling the effects as well. Thanks in advance
