Any thoughts?

Okay so I've been on TRT for 5 weeks now. 200 mg week and was prescribed 1mg of arimidex daily. After about 2 weeks on T I started feeling better, sleep was good, anxiety pretty much gone, libido showing signs of coming back and I could feel my insulin resistance normalizing. Then about a week and a half ago I started feeling horrible again. I read arimidex at 1mg daily is a killer of all things good about TRT. I stopped taking it, last dose last Sunday. The pharmacist said it takes 8 days to stop working. I did labs a few days ago and my estradiol came back as 20, which is bottom of scale. It wasn't a sensitive estradiol test. The dr seemed to think maybe coming off arimidex the 10 days earlier probably brought my number up but me feeling like crap may take a bit longer. All I know is I'm dog tired with no libido and slightly anxious. Does anyone have any thoughts or words of encouragement?

Why did your doctor prescribe such high dose of anastrozole?

Your estradiol is probably a lot lower than that if measured by ultrasensitive test. You were taking an excessive anastrozole dose. Anastrozole binds very tightly to the estrogen receptors.

We have had people like you complain about the same symptoms after tanking their estradiol. It takes a few weeks to have estradiol bounce back again.

Thanks! I'm not real happy with the doc rightnow. The effects of low estradiol is horrible! A female friend of mine said now I know what it's like to go through menopause ha. Not fun but I'm still learning! Hopefully I'll get back on track soon.

The older I get and the more I pay attention to my health and things I see/hear many doctors do, I have very little confidence in doctors. I acknowledge they are necessary, but far too often things they do are just beyond crazy.
