Anastrosole (armidex) dosage

Taking 50 MG Test C E3D for the past 2 months

Total T is 813, free T is 174

Estradiol is 75 so I am adding Anastrosole E3D.

What does should I try first?

Anastrozole is a very powerful antagonist in men; it's best with this drug to start as low as possible and work up if necessary.

Only blood work will tell you what you need.

If it were me, I'd start at .25 mg twice weekly and see where I stand in 6 weeks and go from there.

What forms does it come in? My prescription calls for 1 mg tablets. Not sure I could cut them down to .25 accurately.

If your getting it from a compounding pharmacy they can make it up in .25 mg pills.

Otherwise, talk to your Doctor about lowering the dose.

Was the estradiol test ultrasensitive or the regular one? If it was the regular one, your estradiol may be inaccurately higher than what it really is.

Yes. I consider him a good endo in that, he honors my requests. He clearly does not know much about TRT but he does respond well to my requests and my presenting him with info and documents from this site. He prescribed 1 MG DAILY of Anastrosole which is a little scary but at least I can work with it if he writes the prescription.

I hear of guys who start conservatively at 0.25 mg per week and retest 3-4 weeks later. Then they readjust dose based on a range of 20-40 pg/dL

1 mg daily of an AI will crash your Estrogen faster than Rosie O'Donnell running for a Twinkie!

You need to start out at a very very low dose as I had suggested.

.25 mg twice a week will lower your E2.

Talk to your Doctor about starting out at that low dose and get E2 tested again in 6 weeks and go from there as both Nelson and I recommend.

Are you currently experiencing any signs of high estrogen?

I am asking because I have personally crashed my Estrogen and I can tell you firsthand … it’s no joy. In my experience, I have found .20mg twice a week is an excellent starting dose.

I have both my thyroid and my sleep on track. Even though I exercise regularly, I'm still experiencing some pretty heavy fatigue every day. I'm hoping that getting me E levels in the right range will provide some relief.

FWIW my DR. was using a pharmacy that compounded it in 0.15 scored tabs. I could reduce dose down to 0.075 mg/day and fine tune. I switched to CVS Caremark(insurance pharmacy) and they provide 0.15 mg caps. I cannot split a cap filled with powder. I have found that best for me (on 10%compounded T cream) is 0.15 mg every 3 days. Comes out to about 0.4 mg per week
