Age 60+ and on TRT

One thing for certain, at 60+ it's a lot easier to get injured and a lot longer to recover. For that reason I am very careful. One injury that knocks me out of training for a month can undo several months of training.

It's been two months since I started my 80mg a week routine of TRT. So far I don't notice much difference in muscle or fat reduction. I certainly sleep better. and the libido has been cranked up a notch or two.

Any of you guys have prostate issues? Bph ?

Not anymore. FWIW, since I started the T injections, my need to use the bathroom when sleeping has gone from 3-4 times to 1-2 times. I even have the occasional night where I go to sleep and wake up 7-8 hours later without ever using the bathroom.

Three months since starting TRT therapy. I can't say I noticed much in terms of muscle strength or fat loss. I was never very fat so I guess I may not see much there. Muscle strength is another thing. My workouts have been limited by new back pain issues - another thing that came out of nowhere. So most of my workouts are more stretching and using lighter resistance bands. I do believe that the strength is increasing. I can do some of the weight bearing exercises longer now than when I started. But, nobody will call me a lean, mean machine yet. :-)

Of course, the main goal of TRT is to rebuild my bones, and that I won't have a good reading on for at least a year or two. I hope it works. In the meantime, I keep on stressing those bones and their attached muscles as much as my back will permit.

You may be stretching too much. I had for years chronic neck and back pain/ stiffness. Stopped why I quit stretching. Learn the Turkish get up. Start with a shoe balanced on a closed fist. This will give you the mobility you are looking for.

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
