Prostate cancer surgery is a rapidly evolving area of medical research as researchers refine the removal of the prostate gland to try and spare men from the unwanted side effects of surgery. This has led to major breakthroughs including the world’s first dual-robot surgery to remove the prostate gland while sparing surrounding nerves. While there is still more research needed, there’s hope on the horizon for men diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Host Katie Clift is joined by leading experts:
- Dr. Phillip Stricker, one of Australia’s leading prostate cancer clinicians and surgeons
- Gay Corbett, PCFA Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse at Ballarat Health Services
- Ken Bezant, prostate cancer survivor and PCaHELP Chairperson, Business Founder
They discuss how new techniques are improving continence and erectile function, the role of post-surgical rehabilitation, and steps patients can take for the best recovery.
