Acute Prostatis diagnosis

33 year old male hear with urinary hesitancy, weak stream, frequent urge , stop and go urination, split urine stream sometimes, and sometimes burning feeling after urination. Also feeling of rectal fullness sometimes. I was diagnosed with acute bacterial prostatis about 3 weeks ago even though my urine culture and semen culture showed no presence of bacteria. Doctor performed no imaging test or prostate test and just came to the conclusion I had prostatis just by me telling my symptoms. I have been taking bactrim for 3 weeks with still no improvement really with urine stream and discomfort. Does this take a long time to heal here after starting antibiotics or is something else going on ?
