So I've suffered from low test for years, I've also been a big guy for years as well. I've tried clomid and it really didn't help, but the main effects I've felt from low libido is ED BEYOND BELIEF. Libido is none existent, standing/missionary positions penis loses rigideness almost instantly. High blood pressure, diabetic. I'm scheduled for gastric sleeve in a couple months. Should I start taking TRT.

I am glad you will get a gastric sleeve. Have you tried this? You can lose weight fast:

After you lose your desired weight, have your doctor run a lab test panel like this one:

I would start TRT.

I'd say to hold off on TRT—first see what happens as you lose weight. However, that is a pretty low level for total testosterone, so there is uncertainty about getting back to normal. A more aggressive approach would have you using a testosterone nasal gel product, such as Natesto. These boost testosterone with less disruption of other hormones. Conventional TRT suppresses some hormones and may negatively affect many others. It's good to avoid this kind of confusion if possible, at least initially.

Talk to your doctor about ED meds also:

There isn't any reason why you shouldn't start TRT. If anything you want your testosterone high before surgery, because going into surgery with diabetes out of control can have disastrous consequences.

People with high testosterone recover from surgeries more quickly and are discharged from physical rehabilitation and hospitals sooner.

Also people with high testosterone are more likely to survive an emergency situation when compared to people with low testosterone.

I definitely wanted to start using cialis but I'm so ashamed, like how did I let myself get this bad. Will it ever get better?

It's been this low like this for a long time. I'm scared, will it cause prostate cancer, will I get my libido back and erections. I just feel so darn ashamed.

Do you think taking the jatenzo pill is better than using the shot?

Absolutely!

TRT doesn't cause prostate cancer, there was never any credible data that showed TRT or high androgen levels caused prostate cancer.

I know a few people that got gastric sleeve. It works! Short-term and then they learn how to cheat. They ate food that slip through the sleeve like chips, Fritos, dense food, loaded with calories. I would think first you should learn to change your diet, after you lose hundred pounds and stayed on a healthy diet for at least a year . Then I would considered the sleeve.

I've already been approved, my surgery is in July.

The number of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomies (LSGs) performed worldwide as a primary bariatric procedure has grown exponentially in recent years, given the simplicity of the technique, the low complication rate and the good short- and mid-term results regarding weight loss and the resolution of co-morbidities. However, the long-term results of LSG still are an ongoing concern because a significant amount of patients may regain weight over time after LSG.

Guy I know got one of those stomach procedures several months ago. He’s lost 40lbs since. Best not to mess with too many variables at once, so I’d hold off on TRT for now. You will recover faster from things on TRT, and hold onto more muscle while losing weight, but you also won’t get to know how the procedure itself on its own affects you, and how to differentiate that from a TRT protocol. If you went on TRT after that all weight through and you lost some weight, you’d eventually even out to about where you’d been body composition wise if you’d been on TRT from the beginning.

I will say that you will recover faster on TRT. I’m on a bunch of stuff including test and HGH peptides and BPC, and despite some issues I’ve had with things over the years, I recover like Wolverine. Still can’t compete with a good night of sleep and great habits based on how you feel and perform though. Sucks but it‘s true.

Beyond Testosterone Book by Nelson Vergel
3 years ago our then 29 year old son had gone through a tough few years and his weight went from 170 to 333 pounds! We talked with our son along with another of our kids and encouraged him to make a major life change! He at first was convinced he wanted to get the gastric sleeve operation! After a lot more research he went into a HRT doctor who did NOT put him on T but Metformin and others. He was seeing a trainer who helped him train 1 time in the morning and then again for an hour in the afternoon. The trainer became his main motivator to incorporate a total lifestyle of clean measured-timing eating, supplements and exercise! After 2.5 years of hard work he is now at 167 pounds at 6ft 2in and back to his old self like he was at age 22.

YOU CAN do this!!! Please give yourself a 3 year horizon to be realistic about a goal of weight loss! I would recommend you speak to your doctor as nelson mentions about Semaglutide. This is such a simple treatment if it works for you! just one injection a week!!!

You are a young man and have your whole life ahead of you! It will be so worth it! My son did what he thought was not possible and you can too! The 3 year journey will be worth the next 50-60 years ahead of you!
