13 Surprising Reasons You Should Increase Dopamine

One of the best dopaminergic supplements is citicoline. I'm surprised it's not mentioned on the list. Rather than increasing dopamine levels, it increases D2 receptor density. It's been used in studies to help ex-cocaine users stay clean. I've personally used it to quit smoking on more than one occasion. It has a tremendous effect on sex drive. Also, why aren't cabergoline/bupropion on the list of dopaminergic drugs?

Mucuna Pruriens is the "real deal" for me. It has the highest concentration of L dopa of any natural source. I utilized it many times and still look to it for the occasional pick me up. When I quit smoking it would substitute for the "buzz" I would get from a cigarette. I started in small doses and didn't see noticeable differences but upped the dosage and it was apparent it was helping. Most days I'm an introvert which is fine by me...I do notice on days I have taken Mucuna I really interact with people and border on extrovert personality.

I utilize Banyan botanicals powder. I believe it also effects GH in a positive way so I take it in my protein shake after workouts in the pm and I sleep like a baby.
