How can I regain my libido without side effects?

I'm suffering from low libido. I've tried Clomid which helped but it caused hair loss where i saw my hairs in the shower tub. I'm hesitant in trying it again.

What can I do in order to regain my libido without causing any hair loss?

When it comes to low libido, should I consult with a uro or an endocrinologist?

It seems like no lab work has been performed, which is a grave mistake. You'll need to do that before any further hormonal experiments.

However, if clomid improved your libido, that's a strong signal that the low libido has a hypogonadal cause. So, you're going to be disappointed to learn that for genetically susceptible persons, there is no safe way to increase testosterone levels without accelerating hair loss (which would have eventually occurred anyway, just more slowly).

I said there is no safe way, because you can increase testosterone in combination with a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor like finasteride or dutasteride, which will prevent the hair loss. The only downsides are sexual side effects (the same that you have currently) as well as a real chance of developing a permanent disorder called post-finasteride syndrome that you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy.

Unfortunately, many men will have to choose between their hair and their quality of life. As they say, you can have anything you want, you just can't have everything you want.

Low libido can be a sign of depression or anxiety. Do you believe that you may be suffering from either one?

Yes I very much am suffering from anxiety. I plan to see my gf next week overseas and I fear not being able to perform. I'll be bringing trimix and viagra with me. But even armed with these meds, fear can be a factor in preventing these meds from working.

btw, I was forced to take a medication called risperdol back in 1996 which gave me ED.

The anxiety is probably causing your weak libido. You should consider taking a class in meditation and stick to it. I bet it will really help both anxiety and libido.

There is a possible middle ground, which is topical finasteride, along with topical and/or oral minoxidil. I had unpleasant side effects from oral finasteride, and it took some time to make the connection and then recover. But as hair loss resumed I eventually gambled on going the topical route, and it has paid off so far, basically stopping the loss—this time without the severe side effects. It's not risk-free, but it is lower risk.

I use a topical 15% Minoxidil with 1% finasteride... zero side effects. I tried oral Finasteride years ago with horrible side effects that took several months to dissipate.
