Pramipexole

I'm looking to try pramipexole to boost dopermine and hopefully give me some libdio... I'm finding it impossible to get hold of ..

My sleep specialist tells me it is no longer recommended for RLS due to augmentation, a worsening of RLS with long term use. In any event there was a lot of discussion about using dopamine agonists to boost libido on the TRT forums about 10 years ago and I don't recall anyone reporting positive results at doses below what is used to treat Parkinson's (RLS doses were much smaller).

Guys, be careful with lowering your prolactin too much.

I've used it without seeing any effect on libido.

Are you on TRT?
Sorry missed this. Yes I am. Just changed from IM to sub q and the rush from dopamine was amazing. I felt like the old me . I had a sex drive ... I obviously need to increase my dopamine now it's subsided

Why would subQ injections result in more dopamine over IM injections?

Why would subQ injections result in more dopamine over IM injectionsolol I was talking to a guy who has the same issue . He said when it happened to him he spoke to his endo who said it's a change of absorption and that increases dopermine. He said I bet it lasted about a week and it did

Well I've just read wellbutrin can help with dopamine but going off all the people I've spoke to it's made them worse
Since I don't know what you can order in the UK, I was thinking of tongkat ali or tribulus or mucuna pruriens. Never used any of them but they've been used by indigenous cultures. Tongkat Ali(Longjack), if it's standardized, might be worth trying.

I'll put in a plug for selegiline, aka L-deprenyl. It's a good option to consider if you're no longer on the young side. It counteracts the age-related reduction in dopamine and even improves longevity in some animal studies. Although it's less known for reducing prolactin, it almost certainly has that effect. Ideally you'd get it through a doctor, but you can buy it directly from AllDayChemist.

Thanks for the advice . I've just been told Adderall is helpful with libido... Did a quick Reddit search just to get the basics and whhoooooo very interesting

A psychiatrist wanted to prescribe it for my depression but I know about the drug. Speed, actually. Yes, it will give you a major dopamine bounce but it would be like a nuclear explosion in your brain, unless you have ADHD/ADD or some other disorder where dopamine is down regulated. @Cataceous is right about selegiline. I've read about it and it would seem to be a better way to go if you want to use a pharmaceutical.

I do have personally disorders... I think it's ADD but they think it's a personality disorder... My niece has ADHD and the more I read about ADD the more sure I am I have it .

If your doctor would prescribe Adderall...or refer you to a neurologist or psychiatrist. The psychiatrist I saw screened me for ADHD/ADD and my score was low, but his backround was in research, so he asked if I wanted to try it but ultimately I didn't. My two major concerns was that it would make me manic and worsen my Tourette Syndrome. I already tic a lot; noises and movements. I've had TS since I was three. 68 years.
