Anyone have any success treating anxiety with TRT? I have pretty bad anxiety and low T 230. My doc put me on Xoloft and said testosterone would probably increase my anxiety symptoms?
Often of men on TRT with these Total T numbers will have low estrogen which can easily cause anxiety in the majority of men.
I could make the argument that your anxiety is caused by low-T. If anything low-T or to the point low estrogen can make anxiety disorders worse.
Do you have any labs other than Total T (SHBG/Free T)?
I would say after a few months on TRT, my anxiety and worry greatly decreased. I have generally kept my levels < 900 TT, so I would agree with the other posters that high levels can "amp" you up. Remember T helps confidence levels and mood in men. I found that my overall mental outlook improved quite a bit once I was dialed in.
Its real simple, at these levels one can expect an osteoporosis diagnosis. Search this forum and you will see the horrors men tell of estrogen in the single digits.estrodiol 8.8
