Over-respond to .125 anastrozole , what are my options...

I have a question regarding increasing or decreasing anastrozole, assuming I'm beyond 6 weeks on a new protocol (stable state) and haven't found the correct anastrozole dosage for me yet.

Is 2 weeks after a change in anastrozole dosage too soon to run estrogen labs?

Don't you get a steady state on anatrozole after 10 days? If so, I would think you would be fine to test.

Making small changes such as you are I think you could do that at 2 weeks.

My E2 result is in, .125 EOD got me to an E2 of 12 pg/mL over a week ago, the .250 EOD got me a E2 of 7.8 pg/mL as of Sunday!

Today I took .0625 with my 20mg injection and I'm going to stick with it and in 10 days run another sensitive E2 test.

I also ran an IGF-1 since starting ipamorelin 300 mcg everyday before bed for 3 weeks and it went from 153 to 141? As I understand it ipamorelin doesn't shutdown natural production, but adds to it.

Correct, .0625mg. Here I though at .250 EOD E2 was high, I had hot flashes which I thought was high E2. Just goes to show you how hard it is to go based off how you feel, but at least I know what low E2 feels like.

High vs low E2 symptoms can be pretty confusing. Would be so easy to overshoot anastrazole dosing and not know whether resulting symptoms are high or low.

I am feeling quite a bit better on .0625 anastrozole EOD than prior, and hoping I am actually in good range by the numbers, but??? I'm hoping I didn't overshoot and end up low again.

It's been almost 10 days since I went on my revised AI dosage of .0625 EOD and am back to feeling the way I felt on .125 EOD, not nearly as bad but similar. The last 2 times I skipped the AI, that same day penile sensitivity and erections were improving.

My AI dosage is going to be much lower, my new revised dosage is .03125 EOD. Everytime I decrease the AI dosage I feel more energy, more erections and penile sensitivity. I've been at a stable state for a week.

I purchased graduated pipettes and can dose very small amount of anastrozole. Maybe now that I'm at a stable state the fluctuating T and E may have simmered down.

Glass tubes with ml measurement, you mix the anastrozole in 1ml of vodka and can dose whatever you want. This is the only recourse for AI over-responders.

If it makes you feel any better....I have very similar reaction to AI.

I have not shared my experience until now after reading this thread.

If any one here reading this has read my other posts, I have REALLY high E2 (70+).

I was personally .125mg AI when I first started TRT and was instructed to only take it if I had symptoms.

Well after reading a bunch about folks crashing their E2, as well as all the other, long term side effects. I decided I did not ever want to mess with it.

Fast forward to 7-8 weeks ago and blood test showing I still have really high E2 after lowering my dose of T.

I decided to try the AI. The first dose I felt kinda “off”. The second dose I was waking up in the night and my chest felt kinda heavy and my heart was doing strange things.
Third dose....woke up the following night and felt I was having a heart attack.
I could not breath, anxiety off the chart, heart was racing, etc.

Literally felt like I was dying.

After I spoke with Defy about it, they said no AI for me.

So I hope you get it worked out. Hang in there.

I received the graduated pipettes and am lost, there marked in starting at the bottom .8 -.4 -.2 and finally zero on the top with fine marks in between and am unable to determine where the 1/4 and 1/2 half mark are at, the marks are different than the syringes. I can't use the syringe because the filler from the anastrozole clogs the needle with residue.

I need to be able to dose one quarter of my .125 evenly or the dosage won't be correct.

Physically quartering the powder is possible, but with every division by two you are bound to have a doubling of error percentage-wise in each dose.

I have not used the alcohol method myself, but I believe those who do use the 1mg tablets, not the compounded capsules with excipient in the powder.

Defy said they have a pharmacy that can compound .0625 capsules.

Unbelievable is how I feel today, only 4 days since I lowered my anastrozole. Erections were rampant yesterday. If I can't get the anastrozole any lower than .0625, I'll have to take half of it. It will be easier than splitting up into 1/4th.

The feeling is quite exhilarating!

I simply eyeballed the powder yesterday and the results speak for themselves.

Hold the congrats, after 5 days on this new dosage joints are popping and clicking again. I can't take anastrozole EOD anymore, I'm going to skip it for as long as I can bare and restart at .03125 twice weekly to give the AI a chance lose strength before my next dosage.

It seems every time I decrease the anastrozole I do well for a 1-2 days and erections go wild during this time and then its right back to low estrogen and no erections 4-5 days later.

you guys who cannot tolerate small doses of anastrozole would probably do much better on exemestane (aromasin). I am curious why very few people on this forum use it. Its just like mail ordering the hcg from the various overseas websites. You can get pharmaceutical aromasin to your door for nothing.
