This forum has been very educational. For someone just learning about TRT (not yet on it but considering), which two books would you recommend they read on the subject?

Nelsons' and Jay Campbell's books. Nelson's is technical, but if you want to get your head wrapped around the subject it's a good reference.

And personally for me, Jay's book "THE Definitive Testosterone Replacement Therapy MANual: How To Optimize Your Testosterone For Lifelong Health and Happiness" is something I really connected with, and for me was the best read.

Cool - I haven't read Jay's book, but just bought it for my Kindle. I don't think one can be too well read on the subject. :)

The only two I've ever read are Nelsons and Jay Campbell's. Both very different, both excellent! Crisler's is next on my list.

Nelson's book was the first I had read on TRT. I came away with a much better understanding of the what TRT. Jay's book was fun to read.

I would highly recommend Dr. Shippen's book " The Testosterone Syndrome". It is well written (in 1998 by the way) with actual case studies of patients, their symptoms, treatments and results. He also makes reference's to published clinical studies available at that time.

I believe it was Chapter 5 which he named "Estradiol - The Hidden The Culprit". It was a very, very eye opening part of the book for me. When I read the book in 2014, I had never heard of estradiol levels in men and neither had any of my doctors in the previous 15 years of fatigue, low libido, etc. tested for it.

I also read Nelson's book and it was very informative on treatment options, current levels of all hormones, etc.

They would be my 2 picks in that order.

Good luck!

I would also recommend Dr. Crisler's and Jay Campbell's books. I have read them both and they both provide valuable information.

Another book I read that I enjoyed and would recommend is "The No-Nonsense Guide to Testosterone Replacement Therapy" by Bill Hamzi.

Keep It Up: The Power of Precision Medicine to Conquer Low T and Revitalize Your Life! Hardcover – October 8, 2013 by Florence Comite - I read this book a couple of years ago and thought it was really good. I read the kindle version.
