Weird IGF-1 results

I just had some labs done and one thing I find kind of odd. When I am on .5mg of genotropin my levels are around 196 so doc will raise my dose to .6mg and it will shoot up to 336. Seems kind of odd the drastic level changes. Doc is thinking it may be due to no longer having infection in my body from the diverticulitis. I recently had surgery for it before my recent labs. Thoughts?

A chronic infection could throw your levels off so test numbers taken during that time are suspect. Best to use your most recent (post surgery) test as a baseline and then check again in a few weeks to see what is really going on.
