Hi thanks for reply, I'm 33, probably had symptoms related to this for 7-8 years or so. Yes thyroid was checked so secondary hypohondism was the diagnosis - although as i mentioned my Gp disagreed and tried to force antidepressants on me. I don't have a reference range sorry, I'm sure I read somewhere that the free test level threshold is 250 so if mine made 255 technically it was normal but of course that isn't normal for an otherwise healthy 33 year old. I believe i also read that the test level of between 10-12 suggests trt is recommended and anything below 10 trt should most definitely be started. I did have more bloods taken around march/April yet I didn't see the result my endo just told me it had went up slightly..but i felt I was past getting into a numbers game with him. I think the reason it increase slightly is because he prescribed tostram gel which I used for around 2 months. But on his advice I discontinued because I noticed nipple swelling again, which now seems to be random but at the time he thought was linked. I think his plan was to get me back on gels but I told him it was just not practicable with a newborn baby and my lifestyle, which is why he kind of reluctantly went with nebido. From what I gather the recommended 12- 14 weeks between shots is too long and the last few weeks are hell, I'm feeling this now after around 6 weeks so a long time to go, but apparently this is the nhs box ticking exercise they need to see your bloods when they're really low, and some of the luckier guys after doing this a few times manage to convince their endo to bring down the period to 8 weeks or so. To your other question I have resources to see a private doc however I'm in the complete opposite end of the country!
