New to site and have no clue if Im posting my question to the right place but desperatly need some advice so if ive posted this in the wrong place can someone please advise where I should post my question? If this is the right spot then please see question below. Thanks in advance for any advice provided!

Started TRT and 3 weeks in feel sooo much better. However, I love to run and have been experiencing terrible lower back cramps. Entire lower back tightens up to the point I have to completely stop running.

Im on 160 mg test cyp. a week, .25 mg anastrozol 2 times a week and 250 iu hcg EOD, ZMA at night, Animal pack Flex supps. Third week in libido is back, amazing morning erections, overall sense of well being better then I have felt in years.

Before starting TRT total test 203 (im 36), E2 10, everything else normal range. I will get labs again next week however based on how I currently feel I believe estrogen and test to be in a very good range. My only frustration is the very painful back pumps (lower back cramps when running). Any advise would be great or if anyone else has experienced this from TRT. Thanks a bunch

Your the man Nelson! Thanks for such a quick reply. I currently am taking ZMA every night which includes 450 mg of Magnesium. Do you think that is not enough? I have to admit the only whater I drink is with my daily protien shake. How important is H2O and how much would you recommend daily?

Holy crap your a genius! lol. I just the read the article you sent. Simple carbs are an alkalies heel for me and my cholesterol came in at 120 which is 2 numbers away from being high. In addition I drink a fair amount of coffee and take an anti depressant (for sleep not depression). Pretty much everything the article describes that I shouldn't do I have been doing lol. I will include a B12 and B5 supp in addition to more magnesium. I did start taking ZMA which has 450 mg Magnesium about 2 weeks ago but do you think I should increase the amount of magnesium? Thanks so much for the article!

yeah I actually took Ritalin for 3 years and stopped 2 weeks ago so i imagine thats probably the master of all diuretics considering its an amphetamine lol. However, while on Ritalin I never had the back pumps, they didnt start until after I stopped the Ritalin.

Thanks for the reply's guys. I am not taking Cialis or any ED medication and also do not take creatine. Below is info about labs prior to TRT, everything I am taking (meds and supps) and then what I just went out and purchased to help with lower back cramps. Any suggestions you might have that I can add to my supplements or dosing change suggestions would be great. In addition, I will continue to update this thread over time to keep the forum posted on improvements or setbacks to help any future individuals that may experience back cramps while on TRT.

Yeah im not seeing many people post issues with cramping as a result of trt. I thought I would ask because several years ago a tried a pro-hormone (only cycle I ever tried) and it caused such sever back pumps that I had to stop after 2 weeks. So when I experienced the same thing after starting trt I thought they may be related. Im an avid runner and never experienced the issue any other time. I made some supplement change and diet changes so I will see if the issue improves. Thanks again for the responses, much appreciated.
