I’ve been on TRT for 2 1/2 years. About a month ago I finally returned to the gym. In preparation for that I increased my weekly dosage from 0.5ml to 1ml. (My initial dose when starting TRT was 300mg/wk).

My question is pretty simple. I do 45-50 minutes of reasonably intense cardio in addition to strength training. But starting back totally out of shape hasn’t seemed to matter. Even though my heart rate increases to a good cardio level (140s) I’m not fatigued. In fact, I feel like the only reason I do 45-50 minutes is because I just stop. And this is pretty much a daily routine. But despite such aggressive work outs I’m not losing weight only gaining. Muscle tone is increasing at a noticeable rate. It’s not 5 or 10 pounds a week but I can definitely see the difference.

Is this normal? Up till now I haven’t been focused on the gym. I have been diagnosed with low test by my urologist.

Kind of, some people see muscle gain just by having higher tesosterone levels and eating. So working out is definetly going to drive muscle up and the scale even if you aren't getting fat per say.

The way I am reading this is 300mg doubled to 600mg/week?

Or something else?

0.5 and 1 ml are not doses in mg. T comes in varying concentrations. What is the concentration of mg per ml?

You stated you started because you had low T, but if y are taking 300-600, that's not TRT as replacement therapy. If you really want info about reasonable TRT, welcome to the forum, but be ready for some potentially rude tough love about your dosing.

If you want to run those kinds of levels, you might be better served on a different forum for Anabolic steroid use/bodybuilding etc.

If your question is why you aren't losing weight, there could be many reasons, such as you may be gaining muscle, you may be retaining water, you may be eating more to compensate for the workload, your body may be defending a bodyfat set point...any number of reasons. If you want to lose fat, Time Restricted Eating is a good place to start, along with eliminating seed oils and wheat products and any industrial foods. Many have had good success with a carnivore-leaning diet.

like said before, impossible to gauge without diet/calories. you obviously need to be in a deficit to lose fat. it is close to impossible gain muscle mass at the speed of fat loss, and definitely not together. I personally would not do cardio during the weight lifting session. seems to be counterproductive. what I do, is gym in the AM, and some cardio in the afternoon. you have been on 100mg/T week and now do 200? that will definitely provide a small bump in the ability to gain mass. your gains are probably mostly water, this could be due to e2. not sure what a realistic gain speed is, but 1lb/month seems on the high side
