TRT and libido

I am 48. I have been playing around with TRT for 5 years. libido has also been very good. over the past month I have noticed it is very weak and my erections are not good at times and orgasms are dull at times. I can preform but it is like once a week. beside that I feel good. when I first started TRT my libido was like I was 20 again.

current protocol
150MG week- 50MG Monday, Wednesday and Friday
no AI or HCG


I tried using an AI but hated it.

also on BP meds for like 3 years(never had BP issues till I got on TRT), started using cholesterol med for CAD a month ago. i also started using a CPAP machine 2 months ago, this had help with my sleep alot

does my libido and ED issues have anything to do with the TRT or something else

i was on Cialis for about a year. at the time I didn't need it but my doctor had no issue giving it to me, so i said it could hurt.

stopped about a 2 week ago due to always having a red flushed face, cough and stuffy nose, read these are common side effects. these issues has gone away

Your erectile strength and libido will be negatively affected whenever estrogen is low or high, your estrogen is a little on the high side and you have low SHBG, not a good combination. That's too bad about having to stop Cialis because over time it can increase T/E2 ratios effectively lowering estrogen. Some men in fact have problems with chronically low estrogen caused by Cialis as it has anti-estrogen effects.

I wouldn't be surprised is this estrogen problem started after stopping the Cialis. It's a longshot but you could try DIM, this has been known to aid estrogen metabolism and increase libido in men on TRT. If the DIM doesn't work then you have only one course of action to take and that is smaller more frequent injections, you probably need daily injections which will show the best results.

Another thing to consider, free estrogen is usually very high in low SHBG men when estrogen is at the top of the ranges, this is because SHBG binds testosterone and estrogen and when SHBG is low, the free hormones are high.

It won’t become addictive, but you can get some penis sensitivity, meaning you can last a lot longer. I like the ability to last, having had PE in my 30s and ED on and off in my 40s. Cialis 5 daily is a good idea, especially as you are adjusting to it. Some will have side effects like pain in the low back with a higher dose. Viagra doesn’t seem to have the side effects, as it is out of the system in a shorter time. It is safe to combine Cialis and Viagra like this if you are healthy enough.

As far as libido, I have been on TRT for 3.5 years and libido has been high all along with no signs of dropping. My initial protocol was 100 mg weekly, no HCG or AI. I have slowly raised the level to 140 weekly, keeping the hematocrit and estradiol in range and am still feeling great. I work out daily, bands, dumbells, and body weight one day, Air Dyne the next. I think the cardio keeps the HCT in range. I am married 32 years and we are having by far the best sex of our lives, which blows me away at age 65.
