Topicals: gel vs. cream? Which is better?

I've used Androgel 1.62% in the past and had pretty good results from it, from the libido aspect, which is really important for me. It at times did cause minor irritation on the skin, which bothered me, but it wasn't that big of a problem. I am concerned with cream that it will take forever to dry, which is why I am leaning more towards the gel.

What have been your experiences with gel vs. cream, regarding absorption/effects/ease-of-use/etc?

IMO, I think there are too many variables to your specific question. The only way you can accurately answer this question is with the proper Lab work

In my experience, gels are better for absorptions when the primary objective is to increase testosterone. If the primary goal is to directly increase DHT, then creams with the proper base are a better choice, when applied directly to the testes.

Thanks for the link.

I hope this is not too much of a TMI question, but applying cream directly to the testes prior to sexual activity (which is the reason I'd want to raise DHT, I imagine others have the same reason as well) kind of could be disruptive with certain sexual acts. How fast do the creams dry up completely with no risk of transfer? And does it have to be applied to the testes?

I wouldn't prior to sexual activity, you will transfer it.
When using special creams that you can rub on testicles will increase DHT more effectively. DHT is linked to sex drive and many benefits and some of the side effects like acne and hair lose.
It should only be used this way, if DHT is low

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
