I have noticed a reaction since starting on my meds just wondering if any other members had noticed it ...
Been on T-Gel & arimidex now for around 8mths....)apart from the 4weeks change of meds and my subsequent crash)
Over here in the UK we don't get a lot of sunshine. As I used to workout side on the tools I loved it when the Sun actually shone.
So for this year I have managed to catch the rays twice with the intention of building up a tan base.
On the two occasions I limited it 30 mins first time & 20 mins on the second.

I have noticed for some reason this fires me up ....I get to bed and I'm wide awake...raring to go...which is a bummer...I just watch the clock tick by.
Took me a while to sus out what was causing it so yesterday was a bit of a experiment...and hey presto buzzing all night :(
Not sure whats going on here...could be my vit D levels are being spiked... but on researching it looks as though the bod should self regulate this and adjust accordingly if my levels are high....
I take 4000iu a day through summer and 8,000iu through the winter. I am dark skinned so I have always loved the sun and its effects...and its feel good factor and all that...

Just wondered if any other members had noticed this side effect whilst running T ..

Cheers.. Davet

I can't say for sure, but light, natural or artificial, has a big effect on your wake-sleep cycle. Might help to wear sunglasses when you're outside. I doubt that Vitamin D levels are the reason.

I think taking vit-d is good but its like that song says "ain't nothing like the real thing baby" I notice this as well I live in a state where we really only get about 3-4 month of nice weather. I think the name for it is seasonal mood disorder

I've noticed sleep quality was a bit decreased when I took prescribed vitamin d supplements. Sleep quality was increased when I caught some sun instead. Reading up on sleep and D, it sounds like I'm not alone. There is some research that D supplements disturb sleep so if you take it, at least take it with breakfast.

Also, it's possible to overdose on D to toxic levels by taking supplements (have to take alot), but it isn't possible to reach toxic levels of D by catching rays. Another great example of how our body is smarter than us. It knows when to stop D production. Always prefer solving problems the natural way first, so try more sun and less supplements. Between 10-3pm spring-fall are optimal times to increase D through sun.

Of course, that doesn't mean you can be out in the sun all day everyday. The other concern is skin cancer. Moderation is key. I'm fair skinned and on the average day, I'm getting 20-45min of sun a day. Some experts recommend popping on sunblock after about 15-20 minutes, but I don't know. I decided to only put it on if I'm out in the sun for over an hour, or if I feel it's hot enough for a burn.

Hi B07

The big problem is that here in the UK we seem to be seeing less and less sun...so without supplementing my levels would be very low...I decrease my intake when I don manage to catch some sun but that's not very often.
I used to get very low in the winter months until I started upping my D3 intake. I now take between 4,000iu in summer (that words a joke here in the uk) and 8,000 iu in the winter.
Normally keeps me positive and upbeat.

All the best B07
