Hi guys, thanks for your help.
I cant figure out whats wrong or if anyone had this problem before... up until a couple weeks ago i was doing IM injections.. I have low SHBG so i was reccomended sub q injections.. after switching i noticeably feel better.

However, i cant for the life of me get my injections to go in well.

I am using the exact same test cyp and same exact needles 1/2 inch insulin needles 27 gauge i was using before for shallow IM that were working perfectly fine.

For some reason every time ive done a sub q injection, like i squeeze the flesh, not too hard but enough to get a half inch of fat to gather in the injection spot... im pretty lean, so i tried love handles, and upper thighs, i have to squeeze at least a little bit or i cant get enough for the needle.. i put the needle in, when i try to inject, for some reason it like doenst want to go in! ive tried not squeezing hard, squeezing harder, different locations, its always the same! its like the T doesnt want to go in! i have to press much harder on the plunger than i did with IM injection .. and the result is i end up getting like a swollen welt under my skin that lasts about 3 days like i got hit with a big ass paintball, only no bruise on top of skin.

what am i doing wrong??

I have had that happen to me a couple of times injecting HCG sub-q. Injecting at a 45 degree angle can help. I also ended up switching to a 5/16" 29g. needle(abdomen). Since then I don't even have to pinch the skin. I assume I was getting into the muscle before, but I am not sure. I am a pretty thin guy.

I'm not a fan of Sub-Q injections, I've tried and did not like injecting Sub-Q. I really like injecting shallow IM. I prefer injecting in my shoulders, now that I'm doing daily injections. I'm also injecting in my upper quads.

There's no need to pinch, like Vince says above it's a shallow IM. Pushing hard on the plunger is just how it goes, try warming the Cyp for a few minutes, I like to hold it the filled portion of the syringe in my lips and have hot breath on it as warming it a bit can help the injection.
