Starting Again-Injectable to Gel ??

After my bloodwork in May 2014 I decided to commit to TRT once and for all. I was into my 5th week following the protacol which is used by many on the site.
Testosterone cyp 100mg per week and I was feeling good.
My doctor then switched me to Fortesta 40mg a day as she felt this was a better path for me to go. Not so good. The first day I was wired tight from the dose so I skipped a day and went to 30mg. Same thing. My nerves were all over the place.
My question is will my body adjust to this product and is applying it every other day acceptable? I am concerned that I will not achieve the best levels by skipping a day at 30mg.
My perferance was the injectable which I think I may try to go back to after giving this an honest try.
My bloodwork from May is as follows: Total T-511(348-1197), Free T-7.4 (7.2-24), DHT 41 (30-85), DHEA 71.6 (71.6-375), Estridiol 15.5 (7.6-42.6).
First time that I ahve had DHT checked and thought that it was a little low though it is in the normal range.
Should I do bloodwork again as this has been the sixth week stright on T though it has been only a week on Fortesta.
Thanks
