Brooke M. Faught, DNP is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner with extensive experience in female sexual and pelvic floor medicine, urology, and vulvoscopy. Dr. Faught received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Vanderbilt University. She is a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) and Secretary on the Executive Board of Directors. She is also a former Treasurer of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) and is a certified menopause practitioner through the North American Menopause Society (NAMS). She is also a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
