Hi guys:
I´m here since last year all your posts helped me a lot to begin with TRT, i´ve had some improvement, not like i would but definitively improvements after much years with sexual issues, i´m a 37 years,hiv positive since 2010 undectetable since 2011, with hypothyroidism. Beginning this year i paid a private endocrhinologist ´cause since 2010 i has untreated subclinical hypothyroidism, all this years i had been low energy, very low sex drive(since my 23-24 year i´ve had heavy ED that didnt respond to viagra or cialis all before HIV), memory issues, and medics only sent me to psychologist or psychiatrist, saying that i was inventing all of them, that all was in my head ´cause test for them was 'normal' or blaming HIV(meanwhile i saw my hiv friends enjoying their lifes), last year all went worst i began to loss my hair, my eyebrows, very low energy to exercise, erratic sleep problems in the night, dry skin, sexual life was nearly dead. Anyway this february i began with 50 mcg levothyroxine, first month was amazing since my 20´s i haven´t had so much energy, i was so so happy wasnt in my head or wasnt HIV issues, but after that month i went wooooorst, than ever i was a real zombie, endochrinologist told me that my high on energy was 'placebo effect', but i know that it wasn´t, i always had been a skinny guy and gained weight my constant dry scalp was healthy, eyebrows and hair stopped its fall, since then i´ve never felt so good, after all this months i can say that with levothyroxine, also i´ve seen improvement but not the optimal for me(complete eyebrows still dont return, still not optimal energy, dry skin).
Being soooo so low a friend told me about TRT, i found this page, the forum and decided begin TRT with an andrologist waiting have that high energy again and recover my sexual life, i was three months on androgel and now next month will be my third nebido injection. I feel better but making an analogy i feel like having gasolin but no battery, morning woods are ok since years of having none, still have erection issues and very, very delayed orgasms.
After reading in some forums i´ve read that testosterone full effects are only seen when thyroid levels are on its 'goldilock' point for every guy, searching with some endos all (and losing money) of them say me that they cant do nothing for my energy and my sexual life, that dont blame thyroid, and again that it´s all in my head, they insinuate me that i'm hypochondriac and that ´cause i believe that i have problems they appear and manifest on my body, and follow with levo...................After all the history with my tests i would an honest opinion over if i should wait until levo make their full effect(if it does someday) or search for other endo that give me options, although i know that is nearly imposible, really i dont know what to do, only know that i will follow with andrologist i´ve seen only good things with nebido
I´ll put my tests since 2010(no cholesterol or glucose issues), there´s no FT3 or RT3 tests, medics only test TSH and FT4, since last two tests i have FT4 being always excatly in the upper limit, and TSH has lowered very slow yet over 2.0 and doctors say that now i´m hyperthyroid, in other forums sugests that i could have conversion problems or resistance to thyroid hormones,
so i´m confused, my tests are here
