Recent Test Result- Looking for Suggestions

I am 61 years old and married. I’m 5’8”, 165#. I have always been in good shape. I run about 20 miles a week and hit the gym twice a week. I have noticed a general lack of energy and libido recently and decided to get a testosterone test. I had not had one in seven years and last time, the results were normal.
My results came back at
Total Testosterone 612 Ng/dL. Range is 300-720
Calculated Free Testosterone. 64.1 pg/ml. Range is 47-224
SHBG 88.1 Nmol/ml. Range is 19.3-76.4
I was not tested last time for SHBG.
Is this result significant enough that I should contact my urologist?
Are there any suggestions on how to lower SHBG? I get liver and kidney function tests annually and they have always come back normal so I don’t think that is affecting the result.

Your numbers are great for your age range.
It will probably be tough to get treatment from your urologist. But trt is worth a shot if you could find another way as it should help libido and energy.

The more accurate Tru-T calculator puts your free testosterone at 15.3 ng/dL, which is below the normal range of 16-31 ng/dL. This is probably contributing to your symptoms. Read this article on high SHBG.
