Is there anyone in this forum who has dealt with a venous leak and chosen to get a penile implant? Would you be willing to share your experience?

I am on TRT but have been diagnosed with a venous occlusive leak which prevents me from keeping an erection. For a long time I was wondering why my TRT numbers were good but was having trouble with erections. Now I am having to consider a penile implant. Has anyone here had the same experience?

Yes, had venous leak, which prevented me from keeping erection. I could get one, but would not last, I had a 3 piece Titan implant surgery in April. Feel free to email me, I will try to answer your questions.

I asked urologists the same question. Sometimes it comes from an accident or injury. Other times it simply comes with wear and tear or aging. There is really no explanation. I'm in my 40s and in good health as far as I know Basically its when the corpus cavernosa (the chambers) in the penis do not trap the blood in the penis to hold an erection. The main way to diagnose is for a urologist to give a penile doppler test where they inject with medicine to cause an erection and then test to see if you get an erection or maintain it. Why do you ask?

Only reason is I am scared it could happen and want to know how it happens so I can prevent it. I am 39 and getting married so I was just seeing if it something to prevent or not. I am sorry u have to deal with it! Does anything help? Like cialis? Testosterone itself help?

Hi, can you provide me with detailed symptoms...this is the first time I am hearing about this and I am freaked out because I am about to start TRT.....

Age: 35
T Levels are that of a 70 year old
Dick isn't as hard noticed this about 1 year ago
Sex drive is dead
When I get down I always finish
Flaccid doesn't look the same

I was told it can happen simply from wear and tear and age. Or other times it happens to men from an injury in that area. Sometimes it is unexplainable. At first some ED started happening very sporadically. Eventually I was diagnosed with Low T and started TRT and that seemed to help. But then when the ED started happening more often even with good TRT levels, I was tested for a venus leak. They inject you with trimix and test how long the erection lasts. That's when I knew I had a venus leak. In the beginning, cialis did help because the venus was very slow and cialis made the erection last a little longer. But when the venus leak got worse cialis didn't help as much. Cialis, etc. only open up the vessels so more blood can enter. The problem with the venus leak is it doesn't trap the blood in the penis to maintain an erection. At that point, a penile implant becomes a permanent solution.

I tried a number of different regimens on TRT. I thought I hadn't found the right regimen or that my estradiol numbers were bad, and I thought that's why I was having continuing ED. Now I know the issue is the venus leak. Testosterone gives you the libido (on the right regimen). But T by itself usually doesn't stop a venus leak.

I'm not sure what you mean. Provide details of what? TRT isn't going to cause a venus leak. It has nothing to do with TRT. TRT will improve your libido. A venus leak is a blood flow issue where the penis does not trap the blood in the vessels of the penis to maintain an erection. My experience is a venus leak can be very small at first so that you don't really notice, but can get progressively worse until you start to notice it. The only way to know i s to have a urologist give you a penile ultrasound test where they inject you with trimix and then they do an ultrasound on the penis to measure the blood flow. If the blood flow to the penis is good but the blood doesn't stay trapped inside the penis to maintain an erection-- then that's a venus leak.

Thank you. I may email and ask some questions. I can get an erection too, but it goes down in a few seconds. I am having to consider the implant. I'd be interested in hearing your experience.

HI, I am after the early signs of venous leak... For me I have noticed a not as hard penis and flaccid dick doesn't look the same...

What's your email? Or how do I private message you?

What do you mean flaccid it doesn't look the same? When you don't sustain an erection as long as you used to, or does't last long enough for intercourse, that could be early warning signs. Only way to know for sure is to have urologist do a penile doppler ultrasound to measure blood flow and ability of penis to trap blood and sustain erection.

Flaccid as in anytime other then hard... Going to take a piss for example.

I tell you I am set to start trt in August because of many other symptoms, anxiety, depression, lack of sex drive, 317ng/dl t levels, lower sperm loads, tired and forgetful, brain fog, dick not as hard, I still get morning wood but it's not that nice rager boner

Main reason I am asking about venous leak is because when I do have sex and change positions I feel like I lose my MOJO and my dick goes to sleep...the internet has not given me specific signs on what to look for... How can someone tell the difference between low t and venous leak? Am I hopping on trt for nothing?

Also, I don't know if I am losing muscle mass and gaining fat because of low t or because I have no drive to hit the gym anymore

317 is on the low side. for T. The only way to know if TRT will help all the symptoms you mentioned is to try it, but make sure to use a doctor who is knowledgable in TRT. TRT should improve your drive. The only way to know if you have a venous leak is to have a penile doppler ultrasound done by your urologist.
