Hey folks.

Anyone have any bad experiences injecting into the quad?

I injected Saturday night.

It kinda hurts a bit.

I'm feeling weird sensations throughout the entire leg, though it's slight.

And now I'm feeling a bit groggy and feeling hot inside.

Any of this makes any sense?

Am I over reacting?

I inject into the quads biweekly. No issues other than a sting once in a while but most of them are painless. I use a 27 ga 1/2" needle. Occasionally there's some soreness in the quad the next day but if so it's no different from normal sore muscles: not weird sensations. The grogginess and feeling hot aren't related to the chosen injection site.

Don't tense up when doing the injection. Try to relax and also try to keep the muscle relaxed. It doesn't need to be traumatic or worrisome. Just do it and get on with your day.

Good advise above ^^^ .. I also use a 27g x 1/2". I tend to alternate from Quads to Delts; both sites are fine. Every now and then you hit one that's a bleeder or leaves a lump. Just make sure you go in the lower/outer quadrant, and as noted, don't tense up or flex. I've had times where I know it just doesn't feel right at the entry site. If/when that happens, I pull back, clean, start over.

And Nelson, thank you for all the work you do. I'm becoming a big fan of you and your work.

I'm injecting 200mg/ml Test cypionate.

25g needle, 1".

In hindsight, I definitely was overacting.

Everything seems fine.

I injected in the upper-outer part of the quad, and aspirated.

I seem to be doing just fine.

There's no need to aspirate. Also make sure the muscle is as relaxed as can be sitting is better than standing, for instance. And rub the spot well post injection for 10-20 seconds. All of us on occasion have some post injection soreness or even some bruising, it's rather normal but will get better as you refine your technique for injecting. Also some people develop favorite spots to inject, if one isn't suiting you try another, like the deltoid.

I use 30g needles into my quads. Alternating sides (if I remember). Painless 90% of the time. Injecting 50mg 3 times a week.
