PT-141- New to peptides

I am beginning my journey into peptides. I have a visceral fat issue and did some research where I came across PT-141. I previously considered this for the libido and possible sex enhancing qualities, but have also realized it is being used for weight management/fat loss, and seeing visceral fat being mentioned.

I have been researching some providers, not entirely confident about dosage.

Recently had lab work :

Mar 4, 2025 (Table 1 of 1) Component INSULIN-LIKE GROWTH FACTOR I Normal Range: 59 - 230 ng/mL Mar 4, 2025 87 ng/mL

Basically, is my consideration for PT-141 reasonable?

I am a big fan of PT-141 however i have not heard of it for this purpose, and if stimulating the melanocortin system does in fact help with visceral fat loss, I would suspect that it's Melanotan 2 you would want to try. Have you implemented Sean O'Meara's visceral fat loss protocol? Now that you mention it, I think sun exposure may be part of his protocol so in that sense MT2 could help, but you would want to start with brief mid-day sun exposure first I would guess. Also, I always suggest people start with 100-300 micrograms. That should be enough for results without significant sides, at least to start.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
