Possible reasons for really bad quad PIP?

Hi All, looking for some advice.
What could be the reason for all-of-a-sudden getting really bad PIP after my twice-weekly quad injections. I'm using a 25g 1in needle, and have been for a while with no issues. Lately, I have been getting terrible PIP that become almost debilitating to my walking.
Not deep enough for IM? The actual oil? etc?

Ouch...that's a big needle. I use a 1/2"/29ga insulin pin to inject into my quads EOD.

First question: are you injecting into the vastus lateralis? That is the middle 1/3 of your quad towards the outside.

Second question: why a 1"/25ga harpoon? Do you have high body fat? I just don't see the need for needle that long or thick.

Try proping up your leg on a chair/couch, and totally relaxing the muscle while you pin. Also, inject slowly. Test is oily and viscous...it takes time to push it through a needle.

I don't really understand why you're having that extreme PIP...perhaps you're hitting a nerve. You shouldn't be, if you're pinning the vastus lateralis. Try a smaller pin, and inject slowly.

Ok, great. Thanks for the recommendations.

In saying that, I am doing everything recommended, and doing it correctly. It's been completely fine up until a few weeks ago, which is why I am perplexed.

All good advice. The only thing I'd suggest is that you determine for yourself how quickly you actually inject. My doctor gave me the same advice that Jackie offers - "inject slowly." It didn't work for me. When I inject quickly it's a breeze, not so good on the slow injections. But that's me. Try it both ways and see. Good luck.

all good advice, it's been awhile since I've had a sore knot, very sore knot, in my quad but I'm down to daily and only shoot 24mg or .12ml so it's not say the volume of .5ml like so many others. But I know that pain, sticks around for better part of a week and you don't know why it happened that time inparticular when they've otherwise been post inj pain free.

I'm sure when you inject higher amounts of T, like me. "100mg" you inject slowly. When injecting only 16mg, you inject a lot faster.

That is also my method, I have no worries about injecting in my shoulders. Plus I do exercise my shoulders regularly.

How long have you been using your shoulders exclusively?

I have noticed the past couple of injections a decent amount of blood flowed out. Blood doesn't bother me, and I imagine that the amount of oil "lost" is so small, but it makes me think if it's just chance or anything to do with over using the one site.

two years and I learned it from Nelson's video, I'm so thankful for the video
