On Testogel: Low T, Osteopenia

New to this forum today;
I am a reasonably fit 50 year old, who had an accident at work where I fractured my C6 - neck; and my T7 & T8 (back) it took 2 years to recover to the point that I am now returning to gym.

During that time further tests were carried out and they found I had;
osteopenia
a medical condition in which the protein and mineral content of bone tissue is reduced, but less severely than in osteoporosis

The fact I was taking high doses of MST (opiates) for pain during this time may have contributed to this condition, it certainly would not have helped.

Blood tests were taken and testosterone was on the low but within limits; but free testosterone was close to non existent.

I was started on one sachet 50mg Testo Gel and over 6 months with regular blood tests built up to 2 sachets per day (100mg) Testosterone levels now high teens low twenties (UK).

I am now on a regular training program at a gym and also have free weights at home. I am starting to develop a good muscular shape but still have excess stomach fat and this is due to alcohol as I got into a pattern of nightly drinking.
I am cutting down on drink (very difficult) as its like an addiction, im okay in the morning, but come night time im ready for another drink.

I have started cycling 6 miles per day and possibly another 5 miles per day walking dogs, along with free weight work outs (Benching 70kg + Olympic bar)
I have been told free weights and physical exercise is essential for building Bone Mass.

Due to Testo Gel I have also found shrinkage in testicles, and a fair shrinkage at that. but regular morning erections and libido is fine. Testicle shrinkage is beginning to be a concern.

Gym wise, I am now in a regular routine and increasing weights, obviously my main focus is increasing Bone Mass, I have to wait 2 years for next DEXA Scan (one year to go)

so, I have joined here with a focus of increasing Bone Mass, Building Muscle, Increasing fitness and growing some balls.

Some Blood Test Results;
If anyone recommends further tests that have been missed, it would be appreciated. On initial starting Testo Gel, my psa shot right up - 3.6, but it has steadily dropped back
ALT 32 U/L
Bilirubin 28 umol/L
Alkaline Phosphatase 72 U/L
Albumin 38 g/L
Calcium 2.24
Calcium (Corrected) 2.26
Oestradiol 200 pmol/L (high)
Testosterone 20.2 nmol/L
Sex Hormone Binding Glob 76.5 nmol/L (high)
Free Androgen Index 19.22 nmol/L (low)
PSA 1.6 ug/L
HGB 156 g/L
RCB 4.94
HCT 0.483
MCV 97.7
MCH 31.6
MCC 323
WBC 3.8 (slightly low, I have no spleen due to bike accident)
NE 1.8
LY 1.4
MC 0.4
EO 0.18
BA 0.0
PLT 288
as you can see my SHGB is high (although coming down) and my Androgen still on the low side and when you work out "free testosterone" its still not where it should be but on the right track, I have 3 monthly checks

***One thing to note***
I had an injury 1999, in-repairable nerve damage to the medium & auxiliary nerves of bracial plexus, this caused a non feeling, numb badge around my deltoid, simply no feeling and I was told this nerve would not regrow.
Almost 1 year on Testo Gel, I now have full feeling back around my deltoid (Badge area)!!!!!!

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
