new to HCG

Greetings folks. First post, been lurking for a while.

Quick intro: 55yo male, been on TCyp 5 years now, 90mg once per week. Has been life changing in terms of getting energy back and being able to workout again.

Downside is some ED, been treating with liquid cialis discovered at this forum (THANKS). Also energy is improved but could be better.

Asked doctor about HCG, she said yes and gave me a script (500IU 2x per week), haven't bought it yet. Questions:

1. Forgot to ask doc -- with adding HCG, won't my T get too high? Shouldn't I drop my T injections to account for adding HCG?

2. I read here that compounded HCG costs one third the other stuff. What are people paying for compounded HCG?

3. I have read that some do not respond well to HCG. Is there any benefit to ramping up HCG to test the waters, rather than jumping right in at 500/shot?

You've been in shutdown for 5 years with no HCG your expectation at adding it now are going to have to be very low as that's a significantly long period to be shutdown and may not be reverseable. hence you're unlikley to receive any endo-T production which was going to be miniscule anyway and really of little impact to your protocol.
Compounded HCG can be obtained for about $40/5000iu
Given your longterm shutdown I would go 500iu 3x per week and have very low expectations...this is something that you've simply gone way past any normal point and if you've not been offered HCG prior then it really is a poor medical practice that induced organ failure (testes) and just let that happen.

You should know if HCG is working in about 2 to 3 weeks, increase testicle size. I use 500iu of HCG every 3 1/2 days and happy with the results. I'm sure it won't push your testosterone too high.

HCG as an LH analog has many other functions in the body besides just keeping the testes functioning.

It is also responsible for the P450 SCC enzyme which converts cholesterol to Pregnenolone.

It also acts on the peripheral parts of the brain so you should feel a better sense of well being and increase in libido.
