What's your TRIG?
I was always told that Statins do not stop the growth of artery plaque, but it does help stabilize plaque. Which helps prevent heart attacks, so if someone has plaque in the arteries then there are benefits.I posted this in a wrong thread so I put it here. Reg statins I´m also confused about its effectivness to prevent card diseases. I mean the vast majority of docs and specialists do prescribe statins and I can´t imagine that they are only pill pusher. If the evidens showing, that statins are to no use or only has little benefits were more convincing, would statins still be prescribed? Of coarse it must be very hard for a doc to admit that he has been wrong about prescribing something that wasn´t to any help.
