Hey all, I'm 36 yo and wasn't experiencing a lot of other typical low T symptoms, but my libido had totally disappeared, so I got checked out at an anti aging clinic (I live in Belgium so that seems to be the only place around here anyone will take low T seriously) and tested at 296ng/dl. I was working out hard in the gym and seeing good gains, losing a lot of fat. I already got in the best shape of my life before starting TRT, now sitting at a muscular 190lbs for my 6"0 frame. I do have a history of obesity, having weighed as much as 285lbs at my worst, but thats over 7 years ago now. So yea, despite looking and feeling quite good, the total lack of libido bothered me. In the attached lab results you'll see in the first column my first labs from June, and the most recent labs from August. Doc had put me on testogel (2,5% 4ml dialy) from June to September. That apparently did nothing to raise my T, and apparently totally shut down what little own production I had left. After 3 months on the gels, my T was at 330ng/dl. You'll also see my TSH is out of whack (3,14mu/l), for which doc prescribed me T4 (L-Thyroxine 100µg daily) and since the 2nd blood test, also T3 (Cynomel 0,025mg twice daily). So for T now she's put me on nebido (not really another option available - she won't prescribe any of the shorter esthers). I read online that standard protocol would be one 1000mg shot, then 6 weeks later a booster shot, then every 12 weeks. However she's put me on a very different protocol. Last week I got 2 shots of x 1000mg/4ml (one in each glute), and am supposed to get two more shots of the same in 8 weeks' time. Just prior to those shots, I'm due for the next labs. Since the 2nd labs she has also put me on DHEA 20mg (to take just before bed) It's been only two weeks since the change in protocol and I'm not noticing a huge amount of difference. Don't know if I should feel anything or if that's to be expected. I've always been pretty rock solid emotionally so no mood swings or whatever, energy is fine as usual, probably even better, worse sleep but that might also just be due to more stressy times at work recently. Libido is fractionally better but no huge changes, though I do get a return of morning wood which I almost never had anymore. I'm very eager for some expert feedback on this protocol, since I've not seen it prescribed like this anywhere. Anything I should watch out for in particular with what to me seems like a double standard dose of nebido? Any feedback on the DHEA and my thyroid issues as well? many thanks in advance!
