New Labs Estradiol way high (feedback welcomed)

I just got my labs back. looking at the results I am not completely sure they ran the sensitive test, but when I was there the lab tech said that was what was ordered. I am getting the results from online so I wonder if they just typed the Estradiol in wrong. I might have to go to the lab and ask for a result copy to be sure.

According to the theory that the ratio of E2 to total T is more important than a static E2 number, you are not too high. Total T / E2 = Ratio where 14-20 is the ideal range. In your case, 1098 total T divided by E2 of 98 = 1098/98.6 = 11.13, which is in the ideal range.

More importantly, how do you feel? Do you have any high E2 symptoms? If not, then I would not adjust anything and or you may not have had the Sensitive E2 test.

It's there listed at 4.19 which is very very high. And the sensitive or standard test, he's so high it's probably not relevant that he had the wrong test.

TSH is way way elevated and points possible Hypothyroidism.

You need a complete and full work up done ASAP:

FT4
FT3
RT3
Antibodies

Your FT4 and FT3 look fine but sometimes you can't tell what really going on till you look at RT3 and Thyroid antibodies as well.

I agree with Gene. I would definitely check thyroid antibodies to see if you have Hashimoto's.

Your estradiol may (or may not be ) under 50% of that ECLIA value if you run a sensitive assay. That depends on the amount of CRP you have.

Your free T is good. Are you taking an anabolic steroid or any oral medications that you have not listed?

I do take thyroid medication already. I have a call next week with Defy to talk about my tests. I might have to go to the lab and get them to look up the test. I asked when they were doing the draw and they said the Estrodoil was the sensitive test.

I take a few meds: , Metformin, thiroid med, DHEA and Uloric for gout.
