44yr old 6', 230 lbs always been in good shape. Been on 3 weeks of .7 ml of test cypionate
labs are as follows: labs results are prior to starting TRT.Took antidepressants for long time with no side effects, AD quit working and weaned off in 6 months.been off anti depressant for 1.5 yrs.started showing symptoms of low test, poor erections, low libido, brain fog, depression, anxiety, night sweats, lots of aches and pains,no motivation.hands go numb while sleeping. I think body was in chronic stress or homeostasis was jacked up or maybe adrenal too. After 3 weeks of test seems like things are getting worse. Is there any way test can further disrupt my system ? did seem to help with erection /libido. had my prolactin and cortisol checked yesterday and waiting on results, are my test levels low enought to be on TRT ? should I try to find out why they dropped in first place or will I ever know. I have no problem taking it just want to get to feeling normal again.if prolactin comes back normal does that rule out any pituitary issues? really hate to go back on antidepressant again any help would be appreciated thanks

What is your Testosterone dosage? .7ml is a measurement of volume, not mg. Was your E2 test the Sensitive Test? If not, the number is not very useful. Also, if you are just 3 weeks in, it is a bit early to be feeling much of anything for most guys. A few guys feel it right away, but for many of us, it takes awhile.

Post any other labs you have or as soon as you get them.

I think ERO`s comments are on the mark. Three weeks is far too early to evaluate your protocol. Serum levels don`t stabilize for five-six weeks; patience is a necessary element of any TRT protocol. When do you and your doctor meet to discuss your status?

Steve, are you using 140mg of testosterone once a week? When I started testosterone I waited 12 weeks before retesting.

Thanks Vince . I finally figured out my myself. doc wants to check labs again at 3 months in.Doc is very good to talk to and I can stop in anyday and be seen or ask questions, they have been great and very knowledgeable I think.i will post prolactin and cortisol levels when I get them. do we ever find out how we have become low t ? is it worth money to try and find out or just deal with it and move on? I guess 140 mg is a good starting point? thanks again guys

My 2-cents, ask your Doc if you can split your dose and do 70 mg twice a week instead of 140 once a week. More stable levels that way and less conversion to E2.
