Hi All,

2+ years ago I ordered black-market T Gel, applied to shoulders, felt amazing.

3 Months later connect with Defy - put on Injections.

Starting Protocol was:

140 mg Test C injected twice weekly
HCG injected twice weekly

Since then, there's been a few different variations:

200mg Test C injected twice weekly
HCG injected twice weekly
Had a couple runs with Anavar
Had a run with Winstrol
Had a run with Deca
Tried AI from 0.25mg/week up to 1mg/week

Allowed 6 weeks to adjust between T and AI dosage.

Also tried 8 weeks with no HCG.

I was chasing the ability to get my erections back.

I've been relatively healthy in the past 4 years. Eating very clean, cardio on check, weights on check, blood tests every 3 months...

My challenge once again is the Erection quality. So I noticed something that when it's time to inject, I would sometimes have the nocturnal/morning erections. Finally last week I didn't inject on Friday and what do you know...the BEST weekend in that department for these past 2 years.

I've also noticed that when T is going up I feel great, and T is coming down I feel great.

So my question...

I've missed almost 2 weeks of injections now - I've come off ALL supplements as well. Time to re-start with a clean slate...

1. Do I inject more frequently to see if that will resolve the Erection issues?

or

2. Do I inject once a week, perhaps once every 10 days, to purposely cause the T increase/decrease since that's when I seem to feel best?

Any similar experience? I want that quality of erection back that I got on the weekend after missing my dose. Would like to have the noctural/morning erection there again.

Yes I've tried Cialis, Viagra, etc. I'm 36 years old - healthy - and my system should be working better if I can just dial it in...

Post labs from your previous protocols (injections) including the most recent.

Need to know your protocol (dose T/injection frequency) let alone where such protocol (6 weeks in) had your trough TT/FT/e2 and SHBG let alone overall blood markers which would include RBCs/hemoglobin/hematocrit levels.

Keep in mind that although TT is important to know FT is what truly matters as it is the active unbound fraction of testosterone responsible for the positive effects.

Testing should be done at the true trough (lowest point) as we want to make sure blood levels are not too low which would result in a lack of relief/improvement in low-t symptoms and to make sure that blood levels are not too high which can result in side-effects let alone constantly struggling with issues.

Testing should be done using accurate assays TT/estradiol/DHT (LC/MS-MS) and FT (Equilibrium Dialysis or Ultrafiltration).

A FT 16-31 ng/dL would be considered healthy.

Most men will do well with FT 20-30 ng/dL range and some may run slightly higher levels.

Comes down to the individual.

Critical to know where your FT truly sits on such protocol and the only way is to have it tested using the most accurate assays such as the gold standard Equilibrium Dialysis or Ultrafiltration (next best).

How do you go from 140 mg/week (70 mg every 3.5 days) to eventually jacking your dose 200 mg/week (100 mg every 3.5 days)?

Whopping dose increase and I would put money on it that your trough TT/FT/e2 levels were through the roof on 200 mg/week.

Most men on trt are injecting 100-200 mg/week and even then many would never need the higher end dose to achieve a healthy FT level.

Sure some men do need the higher-end dose but it is far from common.

These are the assays you want to use when testing TT/FT!

Either will suffice.

1. Testosterone, Total and Free (NO Upper Limit) plus Hematocrit

2. Testosterone, Total, LC/MS and Free (Equilibrium Ultrafiltration)

I think everyone has this happen with dose changes. I recall at one time talk of a variable dose protocol. This was many years ago and there is still no variable dose protocol.

When i was on injections only, before i knew of the 20% cream, the only time i had good libido and erections was when i skipped an injection and like after 8-10 days after the last injection i started feeling good with nice libido and erections. And the weirdest part is, the dosage didn’t matter.

I always feel good going up and for about 4 days after stopping...I've not figured that one out, after two years. The best I ever felt...first 3 weeks on gels before I started upping the dose (more must be better) and 30mg a day on injections for about the first 3 weeks. I take daily doses now, feel okay and more stable...but it's not really that effect...does keep the mental demons at bay:)

I am assuming when you were on the gel, you had erections since you said you felt amazing. Have you considered just going back to a cream or gel exclusively? If so I recommend the strength of the cream be 150MG to 200mg and applied morning and at night. I myself felt best on this protocol.

What brand of gel? Where did you get it? What was the dose? How often did you apply to shoulders? What is your SHBG? Why did you stop?

I read that the half life of subq Test E is 240 hours; 10 days. That was from one of the Xyosted studies. At 100 mg every ten days, minus 30% for the ester, that would leave you, on paper, with 7 mg daily. Yes, I know; pharmacokinetics isn't that neat and predictable and people will jump on me because that protocol is considered 'old'. But, if we all were on perfect protocols, we likely wouldn't be on any TRT forums.

The good doctors, past and present, are good because of out of the box thinking. Dr. Shippen went from a standard medical doctor to a pioneer in TRT. He taught himself. If we get hung up on defining what is and isn't TRT, regardless of dose, injection frequency or method of administration, then we're no longer thinking. We're, instead, following the crowd. Whatever works IS the point, even if it's non-standard and unorthodox. Less criticism, skepticism and more support.

We're tending to think that the lack of benzyl alcohol in Xyosted is responsible for its long half-life. Most other research and anecdotal evidence point to more like five days for the half-life of testosterone enanthate in conventional formulations. Xyosted is injected weekly, which then translates to twice-weekly for conventional testosterone enanthate. Xyosted comes in only 50, 75 and 100 mg, which translates to 5-10 mg of testosterone per day. I think this is a further indicator that for most guys, taking much more than 100 mg TE/TC per week is unnecessary and promotes side effects.
