Unfortunately companies involved in TRT medicine (and all other areas of
medicine) such as pharmaceutical manufacturers must market product/services
to make a profit, some way more than others. This TRT tug of war reminds me
of our bi partisan government, there are extremes on both ends when reality
lies within the middle. Not every man who is prescribed TRT needs it, and
due to the over marketing there are probably many men who are on T that do
not need it. But on the other hand there are many more men who need TRT to
combat disease or just plain ol aging!
Personally, I do not take TRT due to a chronic illness or due to aging
(other than moderate secondary hypo), but take it because I believe in the
benefits of keeping optimal levels.
