Low Prolactin.

Is it possible to increase prolactin with progesterone?
Progesterone increases prolactin synthesis
in the endometrium and decreases it in the myometrium and breast glandular tissue (R).

I've read (or seen) Crisler/Saya/et al., reference Shippen treating Prolactin, as high, with a result of 5.

Prolactin seems to be one of the outliers in values...it's very very hard to pin down what is high, and what is low.

I did try to raise mine having tested @ 4 and 5 and Dr Saya prescirbed "Reglan", (check the spelling). Using it 30 days I retested @ 11 but with no improvement up or down, I abandoned it further.

Thanks Carter,
Yes it might not do nothing for me to raise it, but will keep an eye on it, since all other numbers are pretty good.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
