From the recent conference of the American Urological Association:

The study focused on 200 men in a cardiology practice who completed the IIEF-15, ADAM, and previous ED treatment questionnaires. Additionally all patients had serum total testosterone (T), estradiol (E), and sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) levels measured via morning lab draws. Their free testosterone (CFT) was calculated using an online ISSM calculator. CFT and T:E ratio were predictive of positive libido response on IIEF11 & 12 questions in the IIEF questionnaire. Estradiol, even at a cutoff of 5 ng/dL, was not independently associated with improved libido. Surprisingly, no correlation was found between total testosterone and IIEF11 (desire frequency).

Interesting. In this brief summary they say the mean T:E ratio of participants in the study was 8.2:1. However they don't say what levels are associated with higher or lower libido. It's great that someone is looking into the T:E ratio and has made statements which indicate it is predictive of libido, but I am hoping more details will become available or further studies will be done so we can get data which is helpful to men looking to balance T & E or looking to more effectively manage libido.

But their average total T was 310ng/dL and their average E2 was 4.4ng/dL. I don't think this study is applicable to anyone on TRT who will have levels much, much higher than that.

There's a limited amount of information you can extract from a yes or no questionnaire. I assume the statistical test they ran was a logistic regression.
