Is aspirating necessary?

I inject once a week in my quads (area 1 in the gif below), and I understand that aspirating is considered a necessary precaution? Some sources say it is, other sources seem to deem it unnecessary. Isn't it dangerous to accidentally inject into the bloodstream? And if one accidentally does, does he lose all the benefits of that week's injection? What are the chances of the T entering the bloodstream if one never bothers to aspirate?

It is necessary for any IM injection.

That said, the only place I think you can get away form NOT doing it is if you inject in the glutes.

I have been hitting the glutes for years and never pull back...but if I injected anywhere else I would.

Just talk to someone who injected into a vein and you will pull back forever...it's not a good experience.

I think it might be relevant to add-in to the discussion the length of the needle being used. I use the 29g I think it's 1/2 or 5/8" and I jab it straight in area #2 on the diagram and never aspirate and never have post injection lumps bumps nodules itching or pain that I had in the abdomen.

I do know someone who injects in the glutes and aspirates, he did hit a vein once. If you inject into a vein the oil will pool in your lung and make breathing difficult for a time and I believe you waste your testosterone.
