Injection pain

Why, at times, do I feel intense pain and muscle twitching during an injection and at other times feel absolutely nothing?

The most common cause is the alcohol has not dried sufficiently enough on the skin causing a burning pain during the injection.

I am guilty of this from time to time myself LOL.
