Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and I'd have some information to share regarding the half-life of testosterone undecanoate (Nebido).
My body quickly metabolizes testesterone, so that my testo levels fall below 2.5 ng/dL already at week 6 after Nebido injection, which means that the recommended dose interval of 12 weeks does not work in my case.

My doc and I did weekly lab tests following Nebido injections and the results were always comparable, almost identical. Here are typical lab results over a time period of 6 weeks after Nebido injection:
Testosterone at the time of Nebido injection: 2.0 - 2.5 ng/dL
After week 1: 13.4 ng/dL
After week 2: 10.8 ng/dL
After week 3: 5.5 ng/dL
After week 4: 4.0 ng/dL
After week 5: 2.7 ng/dL
After week 6: 2.3 ng/dL

As you can see, after week 5 my levels fall below 3.0 ng/dL again and I start feeling awful, with terrible mood swings, no energy, etc.

In order to deal with the problem, I started taking Nebido every 6 weeks, but in 2 equally split doses: 1/2 dose at week 0, and 1/2 dose at week 3.
In addition, I take arimidex 0.25 mg twice a week continuously and from week 2 to week 3 after each Nebido dose I take 3 doses (500 IU each) of HCG to keep the testicles active.

This regimen turned out to work fine, at least so far.
Any thoughts on that?

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
