Dr. Mohit Khera and Nelson Vergel are two of the best-known experts in Men's Health in the United States. This lecture in Houston is free to the public but reservations are required due to limited space. The speakers will review current knowledge on testosterone replacement and other therapies that can help men age productively.
Mohit Khera, M.D., M.B.A., M.P.H., Associate Professor, is the Director of the Laboratory for Andrology Research at McNair Medical Institute, Baylor College of Medicine. He is also the Medical Director of the Executive Health Program at Baylor. Dr. Khera is a Board-certified urologist specializing in male infertility, male and female sexual dysfunction, and declining testosterone levels in aging men. Dr. Khera’s research focuses on the efficacy of botulinum toxin type A in treating Peyronie’s disease as well as genetic and epigenetic studies on post-finasteride syndrome patients and testosterone replacement therapy.
Nelson Vergel is a chemical engineer who started his search for cutting-edge health knowledge when he was diagnosed with HIV over 30 years ago. Instead of giving into the hopelessness of the deadly diagnosis, he pushed himself to explore therapies to save his life and those of his peers. He is the author of "Testosterone: A Man's Guide" and co-author of the book "Built to Survive"; the founder of the nonprofit organizations Body Positive Wellness Clinic and Program for Wellness Restoration in Houston; and the aging expert at TheBody.com. He is the founder of ExcelMale.com, DiscountedLabs.com, and co-founder of Clinic Optimizers, an integrative medicine educational company that provides information to physicians about compounded formulations used in hormone replacement therapies, weight loss, sexual health, dermatology, and other uses.
